Where to look when you do not know how to act
Named as a pattern to follow, with two conditions on who benefits from it.
لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًا
Laqad kāna lakum fī rasūli-llāhi uswatun ḥasanatun li-man kāna yarju-llāha wa-l-yawma-l-ākhira wa dhakara-llāha kathīrā.
“There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allāh an excellent pattern1 for anyone whose hope is in Allāh and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allāh often.”
