How seriously debt is treated
He raised his head to the sky, put his hand on his forehead, and said this.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مَاذَا نُزِّلَ مِنَ التَّشْدِيدِ
Glory be to Allah, what severity has been revealed. Then he said: by the One in whose hand is my soul, if a man were killed in the way of Allah, then brought back to life, then killed again, and he owed a debt, he would not enter Paradise until his debt was paid.
Even martyrdom does not clear it. It is the strongest thing said about money in the collections.
