The words
خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ
Khayru-n-nāsi qarnī, thumma-lladhīna yalūnahum, thumma-lladhīna yalūnahum
The best of people are my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them.
Where this comes from
Then, he said, a people will come who bear witness before they are asked to, and betray and are not trusted, and make vows and do not fulfil them, and fatness appears among them.
The full narration
Narrated `Abdullah:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best people are those of my generation, and then those who will come after them (the next generation), and then those who will come after them (i.e. the next generation), and then after them, there will come people whose witness will precede their oaths, and whose oaths will precede their witness
