What he said one evening after the night prayer
It caused a misunderstanding that had to be corrected.
أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَيْلَتَكُمْ هَذِهِ فَإِنَّ رَأْسَ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ مِنْهَا لاَ يَبْقَى مِمَّنْ هُوَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ
A-raʾaytum laylatakum hādhih, fa-inna raʾsa miʾati sanatin minhā lā yabqā mimman huwa ʿalā ẓahri-l-arḍi aḥad
Do you see this night of yours? At the end of a hundred years from it, no one now on the face of the earth will be left.
Where this comes from
Ibn Umar says people misunderstood it as a statement about the world ending. What he meant was that this particular generation would be gone.

Narrated `Abdullah:"One night Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) led us in the `Isha' prayer and that is the one called Al-`Atma [??] by the people. After the completion of the prayer, he faced us and said, "Do you know the importance of this night? Nobody present on the surface of the earth tonight will be living after one hundred years from this night." (See Hadith No)
