Joy & gratitude

When you want something big

Sulaymān ﷺ asked for a kingdom, and put forgiveness first.

Rabbi-ghfir lī wa hab lī mulkan lā yanbaghī li-aḥadin min baʿdī, innaka anta-l-Wahhāb.

He said, "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower."

The Qur'an records the biggest worldly request any prophet made, and it opens with asking to be forgiven for making it.
