Remembrance & praise

Four phrases weighed against a whole morning

Juwayriyah had been sitting in worship since dawn.

Subḥāna-llāhi ʿadada khalqih, subḥāna-llāhi riḍā nafsih, subḥāna-llāhi zinata ʿarshih, subḥāna-llāhi midāda kalimātih.

“Glory be to Allah as many as His creation, glory be to Allah as pleases Him, glory be to Allah as the weight of His Throne, glory be to Allah as endless as His words.”

The full narration

Juwairiya reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) happened to pass by her as she was observing her dawn prayer; or after she had observed her dawn prayer. The rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation that he said:" Hallowed be Allah according to the number of His creation, hallowed be Allah according to the pleasure of His Self, hallowed be Allah according to the weight of His Throne, hallowed be Allah according to the ink used in recording His words
