A safeguard he built into his own anger
He asked that anything harsh he said be converted.
اللَّهُمَّ فَأَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مُؤْمِنٍ سَبَبْتُهُ فَاجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ قُرْبَةً إِلَيْكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
Allāhumma fa-ayyumā ʿabdin mu'minin sabbabtuhu fa-jʿal dhālika lahu qurbatan ilayka yawma-l-qiyāmah.
“O Allah, any believing servant I have cursed, make that a means of nearness to You for him on the Day of Rising.”
The full narration
Abu Huraira reported that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:O Allah, for any believing servant whom I curse make that as a source of nearness to Thee on the Day of Resurrection
