For the road and for staying on it
Two things asked together, and the Prophet ﷺ explained each with a picture.
قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالسَّدَادَ
Allāhumma innī as'aluka-l-hudā wa-s-sadād.
“O Allah, I ask You for guidance and for staying on course.”
He said to remember, by guidance, being shown the road; and by sadād, the straightness of an arrow's flight.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of 'Asim b. Kulaib with the same chain of transmitters that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to me:Say:" O Allah, I beg of Thee righteousness and adhering to the straight path
