Thinking about death

The supplication he ﷺ said most often

Anas ibn Mālik said this was the Prophet's ﷺ most frequent supplication of all.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbanā ātinā fi-d-dunyā ḥasanah, wa fi-l-ākhirati ḥasanah, wa qinā ʿadhāba-n-nār.

“Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the next, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

It asks for nothing specific, and so it leaves out nothing. Both worlds, in one sentence.

The full narration

Narrated Anas:The most frequent invocation of The Prophet (ﷺ) was: "O Allah! Give to us in the world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire
