After a falling out with family
Mūsā ﷺ said this having just seized his own brother by the head in anger.
قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِأَخِى وَأَدْخِلْنَا فِى رَحْمَتِكَ ۖ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ
Rabbi-ghfir lī wa li-akhī wa adkhilnā fī raḥmatik, wa anta arḥamu-r-rāḥimīn.
[Moses] said, "My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the most merciful of the merciful."
He asks for himself first. He had come back to find his people worshipping a calf, blamed Hārūn, and heard him out. Then this.
