A comparison offered as a question

Four pairs, none of which are equal.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْبَصِيرُ وَلَا ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتُ وَلَا ٱلنُّورُ وَلَا ٱلظِّلُّ وَلَا ٱلْحَرُورُ وَمَا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْأَحْيَآءُ وَلَا ٱلْأَمْوَٰتُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ وَمَآ أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَّن فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ

Wa mā yastawi-l-aʿmā wa-l-baṣīr, wa la-ẓ-ẓulumātu wa la-n-nūr, wa la-ẓ-ẓillu wa la-l-ḥarūr…

“Not equal are the blind and the seeing, Nor are the darknesses and the light, Nor are the shade and the heat,1 And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allāh causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.1”
