Addressed to those who went furthest
The address used for them is the tenderest in the Qur'an.
۞ قُلْ يَـٰعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Qul yā ʿibādiya-lladhīna asrafū ʿalā anfusihim lā taqnaṭū min raḥmati-llāh, inna-llāha yaghfiru-dh-dhunūba jamīʿā.
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh forgives all sins.1 Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
They are still called My servants, in the middle of being described as having gone too far.
