On the evil eye, said plainly
Four words from Aisha's narration, and an instruction attached.
اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ فَإِنَّ الْعَيْنَ حَقٌّ
Istaʿīdhū billāhi fa-inna-l-ʿayna ḥaqq.
“Seek refuge with Allah, for the evil eye is real.”
It is not dismissed as superstition, and it is not treated as something to be managed by charms. The instruction given is refuge.
The full narration
It was narrated from ‘Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:‘Seek refuge with Allah, for the evil eye is real.”
