Two lines he said about the verse on minor sins
The Arabic rhymes, which is unusual for him.
إِنْ تَغْفِرِ اللَّهُمَّ تَغْفِرْ جَمَّا وَأَىُّ عَبْدٍ لَكَ لاَ أَلَمَّا
In taghfiri-Llāhumma taghfir jammā, wa ayyu ʿabdin laka lā alammā
“If You forgive, O Allah, You forgive in abundance. And which servant of Yours has never slipped.”
Where this comes from
The verse describes those who avoid the great sins and the shameful ones, except al-lamam, the small slips. Ibn Abbas reports that this is what the Prophet said about it. It is a question with no possible answer, which is the point.
The full narration
Narrated 'Ata:from Ibn 'Abbas (regarding this Ayah): Those who avoid great sins and Al-Fawahish except Al-Lamam (minor sins) (53:32). He said: "The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Your forgiveness, O Allah is so ample, and which of Your worshipers has not committed Al-Lamam (minor sins)
