The answer to who He is
They asked him ﷺ to describe his Lord's lineage. Four verses came down.
Qul huwa-llāhu aḥad, Allāhu-ṣ-ṣamad, lam yalid wa lam yūlad, wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan aḥad.
Say, "He is Allāh, [who is] One,1 Allāh, the Eternal Refuge.1 He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
He said it equals a third of the Qur'an. It contains no command and no story, only an answer.
