Telling people plainly that you love them

He stood up and said it three times to a group of women and children.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتُمْ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ

Allāhumma antum min aḥabbi-n-nāsi ilayya.

“By Allah, you are among the most beloved of people to me.”

They were coming back from a wedding. He stopped, stood, and said it out loud rather than assuming they knew.

Narrated Anas:The Prophet (ﷺ) saw the women and children (of the Ansar) coming forward. (The sub-narrator said, "I think that Anas said, 'They were returning from a wedding party.") The Prophet (ﷺ) stood up and said thrice, "By Allah! You are from the most beloved people to me
