What the martyr asks for after seeing what it is worth
Nobody who enters wants to come back, except one.
أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَرُدَّنِي إِلَى الدُّنْيَا فَأُقْتَلَ فِي سَبِيلِكَ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ
Asʾaluka an taruddanī ilā-d-dunyā fa-uqtala fī sabīlika ʿashra marrāt
I ask You to send me back to the world, so that I may be killed in Your path ten times over.
Where this comes from
No one who enters the Garden would want to return to the world for anything on the earth, except the one who was killed. He asks to come back and do it ten more times, because of what he has now seen it is worth.
The full narration
It was narrated that Anas said:"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'A man from among the people of Paradise will be brought and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, will say: "O son of Adam, how do you find your place (in Paradise)?" He would say: "O Lord, it is the best place." He will say: "Ask and wish (for whatever you want)." He would say: "I ask You to send me back to the world so that I may be killed in Your cause ten time" - because of what be sees of the virtue of martyrdom
