Who he called a slave, and to what
Four things listed, and none of them is a person.
تَعِسَ عَبْدُ الدِّينَارِ وَالدِّرْهَمِ وَالْقَطِيفَةِ وَالْخَمِيصَةِ، إِنْ أُعْطِيَ رَضِيَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْطَ لَمْ يَرْضَ
Taʿisa ʿabdu-d-dīnāri wa-d-dirhami wa-l-qaṭīfati wa-l-khamīṣah. In uʿṭiya raḍiya, wa in lam yuʿṭa lam yarḍa
Wretched is the slave of the dinar and the dirham and the fine cloth and the patterned cloak. If he is given he is pleased, and if he is not given he is not pleased.
Where this comes from
The test offered is not how much a person has. It is whether their mood is set by whether it arrived.

Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Perish the slave of Dinar, Dirham, Qatifa (thick soft cloth), and Khamisa (a garment), for if he is given, he is pleased; otherwise he is dissatisfied
