Refuge from what you have not even done yet
The Prophet ﷺ sought protection from the evil of his deeds, and of deeds not yet done.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ وَشَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ʿamiltu wa min sharri mā lam aʿmal.
“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, and from the evil of what I have not done.”
The full narration
Farwa' b. Naufal reported:I asked 'A'isha about the supplication that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) made. She said that he used to say:" O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the evil of what I have done and from the evil of what I have not done
