When you are making excuses to yourself
A verse about knowing perfectly well.
بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
Bali-l-insānu ʿalā nafsihi baṣīrah, wa law alqā maʿādhīrah.
“Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,1 Even if he presents his excuses.”
