What he told the women who asked for a day
One of them asked what happens with two.
مَا مِنْكُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ تُقَدِّمُ ثَلاَثَةً مِنْ وَلَدِهَا إِلاَّ كَانَ لَهَا حِجَابًا مِنَ النَّارِ
Mā minkunna-mraʾatun tuqaddimu thalāthatan min waladihā illā kāna lahā ḥijāban mina-n-nār
“There is not one of you who sends ahead three of her children but that they are a screen for her from the Fire.”
Where this comes from
The women had asked him to set aside a day for them, and he did. When he said it, a woman asked: and two? He said: and two.
The full narration
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:Some women requested the Prophet (ﷺ) to fix a day for them as the men were taking all his time. On that he promised them one day for religious lessons and commandments. Once during such a lesson the Prophet said, "A woman whose three children die will be shielded by them from the Hell fire." On that a woman asked, "If only two die?" He replied, "Even two (will shield her from the Hell-fire)
