Where wealth and children actually sit
Named as adornment, and then set against something else.
ٱلْمَالُ وَٱلْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ أَمَلًا
Al-mālu wa-l-banūna zīnatu-l-ḥayāti-d-dunyā, wa-l-bāqiyātu-ṣ-ṣāliḥātu khayrun ʿinda rabbika thawāban wa khayrun amalā.
“Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord1 for reward and better for [one's] hope.”
