Seeking forgiveness

Forgiveness for the parts nobody saw

Aisha went looking for him at night and found him in prostration, saying this.

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ

Rabbi-ghfir lī mā asrartu wa mā aʿlant.

“My Lord, forgive me what I concealed and what I made public.”

She had thought he was somewhere else. She found him asking forgiveness for things no one else knew about.

The full narration

It was narrated that Aishah said:"I noticed that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was missing and I thought he had gone to visit one of his concubines, so I looked for him and found him prostrating and saying: 'Rabbighfirli ma asrartu wa ma a'lant (O Allah, forgive me for what (sin) I have concealed and what I have done openly
