When you have done all you can

Said by Ibrāhīm ﷺ in the fire, and by the believers when armies gathered

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ …

When you long for a family

The prayer of the servants of the Most Merciful.

فَسَقَىٰ لَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى لِمَآ أَنزَلْتَ إِلَىَّ …

When He feels far away

When you want to end up among the right people

When you are afraid of being left with no one

When you cannot say it to anyone else

Sitting with someone frightened of dying

Saʿd wept when he ﷺ visited him during his illness in Makkah.

Forgiveness for the parts nobody saw

لِتُلْبِسْهَا صَاحِبَتُهَا مِنْ جِلْبَابِهَا، وَلْتَشْهَدِ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

Two things promised for one act

Both of them are things people cannot arrange for themselves.

لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ، وَلَكِنِ الْوَاصِلُ الَّذِي إِذَا قَطَعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا

ارْجِعُوا إِلَى أَهْلِيكُمْ فَعَلِّمُوهُمْ وَمُرُوهُمْ، وَصَلُّوا كَمَا رَأَيْتُمُونِي أُصَلِّي

What he told the young men after twenty nights
