Before something you are dreading
Said by a small army the moment they saw how large the other one was.

When you are frightened of what might happen
What the believers are told to say about anything that could come.

When you stop somewhere unfamiliar
Whoever says it, nothing will harm him until he moves on from that place

When you are afraid of being used against your faith
Mūsā's people said this, hunted and outnumbered.
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى فَٱغْفِرْ لِى فَغَفَرَ لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ …
When you have done something you cannot undo
Mūsā ﷺ said this having killed a man with one blow he never intended to
وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِى فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
When you are afraid of being left with no one
Zakariyyā ﷺ, old and without a child, asking not to be left alone.
وَمَا تَنقِمُ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَآءَتْنَا ۚ …
When standing firm will cost you
Said by men who had been sorcerers that morning and believed by the afte
اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ قَلْبَهُ وَثَبِّتْ لِسَانَهُ
Before you have to speak or decide for others

When you are asked to carry more than you were
